Which Weight Loss Software Is The Best
 Among All The Ones That Are Currently Available?

Selecting the right weight loss software can very well be the difference between succeeding in your weight loss or not, and even in a few cases, where the software tells you what to do, such as the weight loss software telling how many calories to consume, you can end up in the hospital.  Selecting a weight loss software is therefore very important.

There are about 9 different, competing weight loss software on the market today.  You can see most of the them if you search for "weight loss software" on Yahoo.com or Google.com.

What is common to all of them?  All these web sites are like a fashion show:  buy me because I am prettier and I have more colors in my screen-shots and because I have more options.  This is not the way to select a good weight loss software.

A good weight loss software needs to be as easy to use as possible but without losing functionality power.

 Which Without Compromising Functionality,
Someone's Dad Or Mom Should Be Able To Use. 

If a wiz kid is the only one who can figure out all the functions, then the weight loss software won't help you.

 

There are two basic phases to a weight loss software:

  1. The user enters the food that he or she ate with the exercise preformed into the software.

  2. The software performs analysis and reporting on the food that was entered that help the user greatly with making decisions regarding his or her weight loss program that he or she is following.

There is a third category that some software packages have added which is extremely dangerous to you.  Namely, that #3 the software tells you what to do in order to lose weight such as what foods to eat, or how many calories to consume, or how much to exercise.

This #3, the software telling you what to do, is very dangerous because the software can be telling you to do things which are very dangerous to your health! 

A weight loss software is not a doctor or a dietitian or a fitness instructor.  There is no replacement for good education regarding losing weight.  The only reason why these software developers have added the functionality of where the software tells you what to do is to increase sales-copy, add "neat" features, and hopefully increase sales.

A software program does not know your health, it doesn't know your physical ability, it doesn't know about the medications you may or may not be taking.  It doesn't know about your metabolism, it doesn't know about your capacity for exercise.  It doesn't know about your past injuries, or blood condition, lung, heart and overall body condition, or your history of them.

To tailor a weight loss program for someone, at the very least the person wanting to lose weight should know about his or her own health, and plus follow a good weight loss program in addition to an aiding weight loss software. 

In the average case, a doctor or a dietitian or a fitness instructor needs to intervene in order to account for all the variances you might need in your own personal program.

Most people that want to lose weight are not in their youth, and therefore, they necessarily have personal conditions that a software cannot account for.  More than that, is that even a doctor cannot quite fully shield you from dangers of weight loss even while monitoring your progress as you go a long.

Weight loss is not a joke.  The entire body goes through changes during weight loss.  You should never count on a software that will "tell" you what to do because you can end up very sorry for that.

The first step to weight loss, is to read a good book about losing weight.  There are crazy, crazy diets out there today.  So select carefully.  The best weight loss program are basically natural.  They don't involve pills, which are seriously dangerous to your mental health.  The best weight loss programs don't involve gadgets to make you lose weight.

First select a weight loss program.  Then you need to read about that weight loss program.  Do not go to programs that tell you to eat or drink certain chemicals.  These are dangerous.  For instance, there is SlimFast, a program that is incredibly unhealthy and dangerous.  Even if the program is popular, you need to be very careful.  SlimFat and Atkins and many others are simply dangerous programs.

I Know You Want To Lose Weight Desperately, But Don't Hurt Your Health! 

There will come a time that you will be very sorry if you have hurt your health just to lose weight.  Don't jump on the quick solution, it will get you into problems now and in the future. 

Nothing in life that is quick is healthy or good.  All the things that are good come with an effort.  So does healthy weight loss.

First select a weight loss program, then select an aiding weight loss software.  Notice I wrote an aiding weight loss software, not a weight loss software that tells you how many calories to eat.  If you select a weight loss software that tells you how many calories to eat, you will soon need to ask how many calories are in the hospital dinners you will be served.

The Weight Loss Software needs to have an interface that is easy and quick to follow.  The most important is the interface to inputting the foods you ate.  The interface to inputting the foods you ate is the most challenging of all weight loss software interfaces.

The problem is how do you allow for a quick selection of food items from a list of 10,000 foods?

Also, the user does not know exactly what the food is named.  For instance, what you think is "fish" is listed as "finfish" in the database, or "cola" is listed as "Beverages, Cola".  So if you are looking for something such as "Cola," and you don't know that the database categorized them under "Beverages" then you will be getting frustrated looking for the food item under "C" instead of "B".

The worst thing a program can do is just give a simple list of the 10,000 foods and ask you to select foods from that list.  This is what most of the other programs do.  It takes a long time to search through a list of 10,000 foods even if they are alphabetically ordered.
